Spansion LLC was the operating legal entity of Spansion Inc., a flash-memory and embedded-systems semiconductor company headquartered in Sunnyvale, California. The business traces to a 1993 flash-memory joint venture (FASL LLC) between AMD and Fujitsu; it became Spansion LLC in 2004 and was spun off as independent, publicly traded Spansion Inc. in December 2005 (NYSE: CODE).
