Price-Less Inkjet Cartridge Company, Inc. ("Price-Less"; also trading as Priceless Ink & Toner / "PICINK") is a privately held retailer headquartered at 3718 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, Florida. Third-party business databases give a founding year of 1999; ownership is private and the company describes itself as a woman-owned small business, with Elena Slipatchuk listed as president and Ray (Roman) Slipatchuk as founder/consulting director. Size figures come only from data aggregators and vary widely — roughly 1–50 employees and an estimated $1M–$5M in annual revenue — so treat them as unverified estimates rather than confirmed financials.
Operations. Price-Less is a reseller/distributor, not a manufacturer. It sells OEM and remanufactured/compatible inkjet cartridges, laser toner, printer ribbons, wide-format and postage-meter supplies, and related office products through its website (priceless-inkjet.com) and warehouse operation, with custom pricing for corporate, institutional and military buyers. It has also promoted environmental/remanufacturing programs and operated the CollegeInk.com student affiliate storefront. No patents or patent portfolio are attributed to the company in the sources reviewed.
Litigation posture. This is an operating company, not an NPE: it has zero plaintiff cases and one defendant case in the tracked data. The matter was a Section 337 import investigation at the U.S. International Trade Commission (Inv. No. 337-TA-446), not a district-court suit, so the usual plaintiff-friendly venue analysis (e.g., Eastern District of Texas) does not apply.
Notable case. In Hewlett-Packard Company v. Microjet Technology Co., Ltd. et al., HP filed an ITC complaint on December 22, 2000, alleging that imported Microjet cartridges replacing the HP 51626A and HP 51629A infringed six HP patents. Respondents were Microjet (Taiwan), Printer Essentials.com, Price-Less, Cartridge Hut and Paperwork Plus, and ABCCo.net (also of Port Charlotte). Printer Essentials and Cartridge Hut settled by consent order. The ALJ's January 25, 2002 initial determination found a violation; the Commission reversed in part, found infringement of claim 4 of U.S. Patent 4,635,073, and in May 2002 issued a limited exclusion order against Microjet plus cease and desist orders against Price-Less and ABCCo.net, terminating the investigation.
