Company profile

Company overview. Elong International USA, Inc. is a privately held LED lighting importer and distributor headquartered in Carrollton, Texas (Dallas–Fort Worth metro), with warehouse operations at 1200 W. Crosby Road and, per a 2021 Dallas Business Journal report, a planned expansion to roughly 204,000 sq ft of space at 1745 Hayden Drive. Third-party databases estimate it was founded around 2008 and is small — roughly 6–10 employees and about $1M–$5M in annual revenue (Kona Equity; Salary.com). These figures are estimates, not company-disclosed. U.S. Customs records show its dominant trading partner is Xiamen Longstar Lighting Co., Ltd., a Chinese LED manufacturer; the two are frequently co-named in litigation and appear to operate as manufacturer and U.S. distribution affiliate.

Products / operations. Elong is an operating company in the LED lighting supply chain, not a patent-holding shell. It imports LED lamps, bulbs, and fixtures (largely from Xiamen, China) and distributes them under its own GreenWatt brand as well as retail private-label lines. Feit Electric's complaint identifies Elong-sold products including Utilitech and Better Homes & Gardens white-filament LED bulbs, and import data shows thousands of LED lamp and fixture shipments through U.S. ports.

Patent-litigation posture. Elong is best characterized as an operating company defending against an infringement suit and actively challenging the asserted patent, rather than an NPE. Its one defendant appearance is Feit Electric Company, Inc. v. Elong International USA, Inc. et al. (3:24-cv-01089, N.D. Tex., Dallas Division, filed May 2024) — its home venue, not an outlier plaintiff-friendly court. Its two "plaintiff" entries are PTAB inter partes review petitions (IPR2025-00258 and the Savant Technologies LLC et al. proceeding) in which Elong is a petitioner challenging the same patent — a defensive countermeasure, though the case tracker labels the petitioner side as plaintiff.

Notable cases. The dispute centers on Feit's U.S. Patent No. 8,604,678 covering LED-filament lamp technology. Elong petitioned for IPR jointly with Savant Technologies LLC (d/b/a GE Lighting) and co-defendant Xiamen Longstar. Per PatSnap's case summary, the district court action ended in a joint dismissal without prejudice in January 2026, leaving Feit's rights to reassert the patent intact. No damages or merits ruling was publicly disclosed.
