Wilus Institute of Standards and Technology Inc., commonly known as Wilus Inc. or WILUS, is a South Korea-based research and development (R&D) company. Founded in 2012, the company is employee-owned, with a team of 20 engineers and inventors. Its headquarters are located in Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. Wilus identifies its parent corporation as Good Day to Invent, Inc.

Wilus specializes in developing next-generation standards in wireless communications and multimedia technology. The company actively contributes to major global standards bodies, including 3GPP (for LTE and 5G), IEEE 802.11 (for Wi-Fi 6 and beyond), and MPEG (for multimedia codecs). Wilus maintains an extensive intellectual property portfolio of over 3,500 patents across nine Standard Essential Patent (SEP) portfolios, which it licenses through global patent pools and bilateral agreements. The revenue generated from these licensing activities supports its ongoing R&D and participation in standards development.

Wilus exhibits an active patent assertion posture, having filed three plaintiff cases in the Eastern District of Texas. These cases target major technology companies such as Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. and HP Inc., asserting patents related to Wi-Fi 6 (IEEE 802.11ax) and other wireless communication technologies. The company has stated its commitment to licensing its Wi-Fi 6 SEPs on FRAND (fair, reasonable, and non-discriminatory) terms, indicating that litigation is pursued when licensing negotiations reach an impasse.

In response to Wilus's assertion activities, the company has also appeared as a defendant in two cases before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). These proceedings were initiated by Unified Patents, which has filed ex parte reexamination requests to challenge the validity of several Wilus Wi-Fi patents, including US 10,305,638 and US 10,931,396. The targeted patents typically relate to the physical layer of wireless communications technology.
