Company profile

Company overview. Sportradar Group AG (commercial name "Sportradar") is a Swiss stock corporation headquartered at Feldlistrasse 2, St. Gallen, Switzerland. The business was founded in 2001 by Carsten Koerl; the current holding company was incorporated in June 2021 and listed on the Nasdaq in September 2021 under ticker SRAD. Per its Form 20-F and market data, Sportradar employs roughly 4,900–5,100 people, reported revenue of €1.29 billion for FY2025, and has a market cap around $4.5–5 billion.

Products / services. Sportradar is a B2B provider of sports data, content, and technology for the sports-betting and media industries, describing itself as the largest revenue provider of B2B solutions to the global sports betting industry. Its two reporting segments are Betting Technology & Solutions and Sports Content, Technology & Services. Offerings include pre-match and live data feeds and odds, Managed Trading Services, virtual games and e-sports, betting-entertainment tools, audiovisual/OTT streaming, programmatic advertising, integrity and fraud-monitoring services, and league data-collection systems. Customers include betting operators, sports leagues (NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB, FIFA, NASCAR), and media companies.

Patent-litigation posture. Sportradar is an operating company defending against patent suits, not a plaintiff-side NPE: in the tracked database it appears as defendant in one case and plaintiff in none. The sole tracked case, SportsCastr Inc. v. Sportradar Group AG et al. (filed Oct. 5, 2023), is pending in the Eastern District of Texas, Marshall Division — a plaintiff-friendly venue. Judge Gilstrap denied Sportradar's motion to dismiss for lack of personal jurisdiction and motion to transfer in September 2024.

Notable case context. The plaintiff, SportsCastr Inc. (d/b/a PANDA Interactive), is a sports-streaming competitor alleging that Sportradar's emBET, OTT, and Live Channel Trading products infringe four patents covering low-latency live-video streaming with synchronized betting-data overlays; the suit later added antitrust claims. Sportradar separately petitioned the PTAB for inter partes review of the asserted patents and filed declaratory-judgment actions (including a parallel Delaware case). Sportradar's FY2025 20-F reports that the dispute was settled in March 2026, with PANDA's claims dismissed with prejudice.
