Justin B. Kimble

Justin B. Kimble is a highly experienced patent litigation attorney with a practice focused predominantly on intellectual property disputes and patent licensing. His work spans a broad range of technologies, including liquid-crystal displays, wearable biometric monitors, solid-state drives (SSDs), digital-printing-workflow software, and various semiconductor components such as ambient light sensors, CMOS sensors, and DRAM. He also has experience with robotic microsurgery systems, DNA multiplexing, and arc-fault circuit interrupters.

Throughout his career, Mr. Kimble has primarily represented patent owners in enforcement actions, appearing on the plaintiff side in 15 of his 18 tracked cases. Notably, he has frequently served as lead counsel for entities such as Innovative Display Technologies LLC and Delaware Display Group LLC in patent infringement lawsuits against major corporations, including Mazda Motor Corporation, Canon U.S.A. Inc., Hewlett-Packard Company, Verizon Communications, Inc., Sprint Corporation, TomTom North America Inc., Toyota Motor Corp., Hyundai Motor Group, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., Volkswagen AG, Amazon.com Inc., LG Electronics Inc., and VIZIO Inc. He also undertakes defense work for patent owners in post-grant proceedings and for defendants in infringement cases.

Mr. Kimble is a Principal at Nelson Bumgardner Conroy PC. Prior to joining his current firm, he was a founding partner of Bragalone Conroy, PC, and also a partner with Shore Chan Bragalone DePumpo, LLP. He possesses significant experience before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), having served as lead counsel for both petitioners and patent owners in over 100 inter partes review (IPR) proceedings. His PTAB experience includes representing patent owners like Palisade Technologies LLP and Bishop Display Tech LLC.

Admitted to the State of Texas bar since 2002, Mr. Kimble is also a registered patent attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He earned his Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas Tech University.
