Emma Anne Bennett

Emma Anne Bennett is an intellectual property attorney at Troutman Pepper Hamilton Sanders (also known as Troutman Pepper Locke), focusing her practice on complex intellectual property litigation. She handles matters involving patent infringement, trademark infringement, copyright infringement, and trade secret misappropriation. Her technology-focused practice encompasses intellectual property disputes, data privacy, and emerging technologies. She also advises clients on technology, intellectual property, and data privacy issues arising in commercial transactions.

Ms. Bennett primarily represents defendants in patent disputes, with all two of her tracked appearances being on the defendant side as counsel. She has experience representing clients before federal district courts and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). Notably, she was counsel in UNITED MICROELECTRONICS CORPORATION, AND UMC GROUP (USA) v. ADVANCED INTEGRATED CIRCUIT PROCESS LLC (IPR2025-01053), challenging U.S. Patent No. 8,796,779. This IPR proceeding involved a petitioner who was also a defendant in related district court litigation, aligning with her defendant-side focus.
