Company profile

Company overview. Sportradar Group AG (commercial name "Sportradar") is a Swiss public company headquartered at Feldlistrasse 2, St. Gallen, Switzerland, founded in 2001 by CEO Carsten Koerl. Its shares trade on Nasdaq under ticker SRAD (IPO September 2021); market cap is roughly $4.1–4.5 billion. It employs about 4,700–5,100 people (PitchBook: 4,766; 20-F: ~4,880) and reported trailing-twelve-month revenue of roughly $1.35–1.5 billion, with 2024 revenue of about $1.1 billion (PitchBook, MarketWatch, company 20-F). Its U.S. agent and subsidiary is Sportradar US LLC (Minneapolis).

Products / services. Sportradar is an operating company, not an NPE: it sells B2B sports data, content, and technology to betting operators, sports leagues/federations, and media companies. Offerings span live and pre-match data feeds and odds (Betradar brand), managed betting and trading services (Managed Trading Services and a turnkey betting/gaming platform), iGaming and virtual sports, streaming and betting-engagement tools (e.g., emBET, OTT), marketing/ad-tech (ad:s), integrity services (Universal Fraud Detection System), and sports-performance analytics for teams and broadcasters (company 20-F, CSR profile).

Patent-litigation posture. Sportradar is an active two-way litigant in a single dispute with competitor SportsCastr Inc. (d/b/a Panda Interactive). Of three tracked matters, one is a defendant-side patent suit (SportsCastr Inc. v. Sportradar Group AG et al., E.D. Tex., Marshall Division, filed Oct 2023); the other two are Sportradar-initiated: a PTAB inter partes review petition (Dec 2024) and a declaratory-judgment action filed Apr 2025 that was dismissed without prejudice. All matters sit in the Eastern District of Texas or the PTAB, with the district case before Judge Rodney Gilstrap.

Notable context. Panda's 2023 suit alleges Sportradar's emBET, OTT, and Live Channel Trading video-streaming products infringe patents on synchronized live video and event-data streaming (U.S. Patent Nos. 10,805,687; 11,039,218; 10,425,697; later 11,871,088). The E.D. Tex. case was consolidated with Panda's parallel suit against Genius Sports; Sportradar counterclaimed for declaratory judgments of invalidity and noninfringement, and Panda later added antitrust claims (court filings via CourtListener/Justia; IP Law Daily, Sept 2024). In September 2024, the court denied Sportradar's motion to dismiss for lack of personal jurisdiction, holding the Swiss parent and manufacturer were subject to suit in Texas.
