SanDisk LLC is an American multinational computer semiconductor company headquartered in Milpitas, California, founded in 1988 as SunDisk by Eli Harari, Sanjay Mehrotra, and Jack Yuan. Originally a public company, it was acquired by Western Digital in 2016. In early 2025, SanDisk was spun off from Western Digital, becoming an independent, publicly traded entity once again, listed on NASDAQ under the ticker SNDK.
