Established in 2015, the company operates as the solar manufacturing arm of the Adani Group. Mundra Solar is a Public Limited Company and, as of February 28, 2025, employed approximately 560 professionals. For the financial year ending March 31, 2025, it reported a revenue of ₹6,490 crore (approximately $778 million USD).

Mundra Solar specializes in the manufacturing of high-efficiency PV modules, including TOPCon, MonoPERC, Bifacial, and Dual Glass technologies, with product lines such as the SHINE and PRIDE series designed for utility and rooftop solar PV systems. The company has appeared as a plaintiff in one tracked case before the U.S. Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). This PTAB activity involved Mundra Solar PV Limited filing an Inter Partes Review (IPR) petition to challenge the validity of U.S. Patent No. 9,666,732 held by First Solar, Inc., related to TOPCon crystalline silicon photovoltaic cells. The USPTO subsequently denied this IPR petition in December 2025.
