Vyve Broadband, LLC is the consumer-facing brand of Mega Broadband Investments Holdings LLC (MBI), a rural broadband operator founded in 2012 and headquartered in Rye Brook/Port Chester, New York, with operational offices in Oklahoma (Durant/Shawnee). Ownership is private and split: Cable One, Inc. (NYSE: CABO) holds a 45% stake, with affiliates of private-equity firm GTCR and MBI management holding the balance. In January 2026 GTCR exercised a put option, and Cable One agreed to acquire the remaining 55% for roughly $475–495 million plus assumption of roughly $845–895 million in debt; closing is expected October 1, 2026. MBI reported about $310 million in revenue for the twelve months ended September 30, 2025, roughly 210,000 residential and business data customers, and about 675,000 passings. Employee-count estimates from third-party data providers place it in the roughly 500–1,000 range, but no authoritative figure is public.
Operations. Vyve provides residential high-speed internet (marketed up to multi-gig speeds), all-digital and high-definition video, and digital voice service, largely to rural communities across 16 states in the Southeast, Northwest, and Mid-South. Vyve Business Services sells optical Ethernet, PRI, and hosted voice to commercial customers. The company has grown partly by acquisition, including Northland Communications' systems (2018) and Atom Broadband's Oklahoma network (2024).
Litigation posture. Case data shows one tracked matter, in which Vyve is the defendant only — consistent with an operating company being targeted rather than an active patent plaintiff. The suit, CommWorks Solutions, LLC v. Vyve Broadband, LLC et al, was filed in the Western District of Texas before Judge Alan Albright, a venue that drew heavy patent-assertion volume.
