Company profile

Vyve Broadband Investments, LLC is the legal entity behind Vyve Broadband, a rural U.S. cable/broadband operator founded in 2012 (formerly BCI Broadband). Corporate addresses vary across filings: Shawnee, Oklahoma (707 W Saratoga St; also 1819 Airport Drive) is the operational base, while ARIN lists an Oklahoma City address (201 Robert S Kerr Ave) and some databases list Rye Brook/Port Chester, New York. The brand is operated by Mega Broadband Investments Holdings LLC (MBI), which has been private-equity backed. GTCR and MBI acquired Vyve from BBH Capital Partners in 2019. Cable One (NYSE: CABO) owns 45% of MBI and agreed in January 2026 to buy the remaining 55% from GTCR affiliates and management, with closing targeted for October 1, 2026. Sources put MBI/Vyve at roughly 490–500 employees, about $310 million in revenue for the 12 months ended September 30, 2025, ~210,000 data customers and ~675,000 passings across 16 states.

Operations. Vyve is a facilities-based triple-play provider in rural and smaller markets across the Southeast, Northwest and Mid-South. Residential offerings include high-speed internet (marketed as Vyve Multi-Gig), digital/HD video and digital voice; Vyve Business Services sells optical Ethernet, PRI and hosted voice to commercial customers. Its network is a mix of HFC and fiber, and the company has announced network modernization to a virtualized/DAA broadband platform.

Litigation posture. Pure defendant: the database shows one case, zero plaintiff suits. CommWorks Solutions, LLC v. Vyve Broadband, LLC et al., No. 6:23-cv-00147, was filed February 23, 2023 in the W.D. Tex. (Waco Division) before Judge Alan D. Albright — a venue long favored by high-volume patent plaintiffs. CommWorks is a non-practicing entity; reporting on related declaratory-judgment litigation by Altice USA characterized it as part of a coordinated assertion campaign tied to IP Investments/Brainbox and portfolios transferred from Intellectual Ventures. The suit asserted seven broadband patents covering QoS delivery, contention-free traffic detection and time-based access provisioning; it was dismissed with prejudice and Vyve was represented by Jenner & Block and Potter Minton.

Context. The case reflects the broader pattern of NPE assertion campaigns against regional cable/ISP operators using legacy telecom-networking patents, rather than any two-way patent dispute by Vyve itself.
