Natco Pharma Limited ("NATCO") is an Indian pharmaceutical company incorporated in 1981 and headquartered at Natco House, Road No. 2, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, Telangana. It is publicly listed on India's BSE and NSE (ticker NATCOPHARM) and is not a subsidiary. Its FY2024 annual report cites roughly 4,800 employees (other trackers report ~5,000), consolidated revenue of approximately ₹4,127 crore (~US$490 million) and profit after tax of about ₹1,388 crore.
Operations. NATCO is a vertically integrated generics manufacturer spanning active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), intermediates and finished dosage formulations (FDFs). It is best known in India for branded oncology generics—its oncology division launched in 2003 with VEENAT (generic imatinib)—and also markets cardiology, diabetology and CNS products domestically. Internationally it pursues Paragraph IV / first-to-file generic filings (including lenalidomide, semaglutide, olaparib and carfilzomib) largely through out-licensing partnerships with larger generic firms, with key markets in the US, Canada, Brazil and other regions. A smaller Crop Health Sciences division sells agrochemicals. It operates multiple manufacturing units and two R&D centers in India.
Litigation posture. The tracked data show 2 cases as defendant and 0 as plaintiff. That pattern—an entity sued but never suing—is consistent with an operating company rather than a non-practicing entity. Both tracked matters are the same Hatch-Waxman ANDA dispute: Celgene Corp. v. Natco Pharma Ltd., filed 2012-07-20 in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey (appearing twice in the dataset, apparently duplicated). NJ is Celgene's home venue and a common generic-pharmaceutical forum, not a plaintiff-friendly NPE venue like the Eastern District of Texas.
Context. The Celgene suit concerns patents covering lenalidomide (Revlimid), the multiple myeloma drug; NATCO later supplied the generic lenalidomide launch in the US through a partner. Neither case involves a patent-assertion business model, and no evidence indicates NATCO funds or operates patent-assertion entities.
