Overview. EROAD Limited is a New Zealand-incorporated fleet management technology company, founded in 2000 (originally "E Road Limited," renamed EROAD Limited in 2013) and headquartered at 260 Oteha Valley Road, Albany, Auckland. It is publicly listed on the New Zealand Stock Exchange and the Australian Securities Exchange under the ticker ERD, with regional offices in Sydney, Manila and San Diego. Products / services. EROAD is a hardware-enabled SaaS business serving commercial vehicle fleets. It designs and manufactures its own in-vehicle hardware — telematics devices, electronic distance recorders, AI dashcams and IoT sensors — and delivers them through a connected cloud platform. Its product lines include the EROAD connected fleet platform, electronic road user charging (RUC) and compliance/electronic logbook services, safety and video telematics, mobile apps, and partner integrations. It also earns revenue from hardware sale or rental, installation, and training and support. It is New Zealand's largest electronic RUC provider and operates in New Zealand, Australia and North America. In December 2021 EROAD acquired 100% of Coretex Limited, a telematics provider focused on verticals such as food safety/refrigeration, construction and waste, for NZ$157.7m upfront plus contingent consideration.
