Daniels has experience representing clients on both the plaintiff and defendant sides, ranging from individuals to Fortune 100 corporations. His tracked cases include serving as lead counsel for Radiant Patents LLC in a patent infringement suit against Nokia Corporation et al. He has also represented patent owners in enforcing and licensing standard essential patent portfolios and defended companies against patent assertion entities, securing favorable settlements.

He joined Prince Lobel Tye in July 2025 as part of an expansion into Austin, Texas, bringing a team of patent litigators to the firm. Prior to that, he was a Member at Dickinson Wright PLLC, joining that firm in June 2018. Daniels' experience includes appearing in federal courts nationwide, state courts in California, Georgia, and Texas, and before the International Trade Commission. He also has experience with inter partes review (IPR) proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office's Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB).

Steven Daniels earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law in 1995, and also holds an M.A. from the same institution and a B.A. from the University of New Mexico. He is admitted to practice in Texas, California, and Georgia, and is registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
