Rodeen Talebi

Rodeen Talebi is a patent litigation attorney at Fish & Richardson, specializing in complex intellectual property disputes. Talebi's practice encompasses a broad range of technologies, including wireless communications, network architecture, computer software, artificial intelligence, and standard-essential patents (SEPs) related to Wi-Fi technology. Before his legal career, he worked as a software engineer for telecommunications companies, bringing a technical depth to his legal work.

With a practice that includes representing both plaintiffs and defendants, Talebi has handled over 100 cases across various jurisdictions. His tracked appearances show a notable emphasis on defendant-side work (5 of 7 cases), including representing Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. in patent infringement lawsuits brought by Wilus Institute of Standards and Technology Inc. concerning Wi-Fi 6 technology. He also represented Wilus Institute as lead counsel in a case against HP Inc. One prominent outcome involved Wilus Institute of Standards and Technology Inc. v. HP Inc., where four Wi-Fi 6 patents were dismissed with prejudice following a joint motion, indicating a bilateral dismissal where each party bore its own costs.

Talebi is actively involved in post-grant proceedings, representing clients in inter partes review (IPR) proceedings at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) and in appeals before the Federal Circuit.
