Maxim Price

Maxim Price is a founding partner and co-partner-in-charge of the New York office at Hecht Partners LLP, where he focuses on intellectual property and patent litigation. He specializes in high-technology cases, particularly those involving computer science, communications technology, software, and biometric or authentication systems, drawing on his background in computer science. His practice also encompasses broader commercial litigation and Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) defense.

Mr. Price's litigation practice includes representing both plaintiffs and defendants in complex patent infringement disputes. His tracked cases and notable representations indicate a significant emphasis on plaintiff-side work, particularly for patent assertion entities (PAEs), such as his lead role in multi-year patent enforcement campaigns for Proxense LLC against major technology companies.

Among his prominent cases, Mr. Price served as co-lead counsel for Proxense LLC in its patent infringement disputes, securing favorable settlements with Google (2025) and Samsung (2023). In the Samsung matter, his efforts led to a clean-sweep at Markman and a win on partial summary judgment, resulting in a settlement just hours before jury selection.
