Marc Vander Tuig

Marc Vander Tuig is a Partner at Armstrong Teasdale LLP, specializing in high-stakes patent litigation across district courts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. His practice spans a diverse range of technology areas, including semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, chemicals, electronics, motors, and software. Beyond patent disputes, he also handles other intellectual property and commercial matters, such as trademark, trade dress, trade secret, and antitrust cases, while providing patent counseling, opinions, due diligence, and licensing services.

He secured a complete defense verdict for a Midwest financial institution in a patent lawsuit initiated by a patent-assertion firm, achieved by successfully defeating multiple asserted patents in inter partes review (IPR) proceedings and defending these outcomes at the Federal Circuit. He previously led the PTAB proceedings practice at another St. Louis firm prior to joining Armstrong Teasdale.

Mr. Vander Tuig earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri School of Law in 2002 and his Bachelor of Science from the University of Missouri in 1996.
