Louis P. Panzica, Jr.

Louis P. Panzica, Jr. is an associate in the Biotechnology & Chemical Practice Group at Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein & Fox PLLC, where his practice focuses on patent litigation and post-grant proceedings. His technical expertise spans genetics, molecular and cellular biology, immunology, virology, and DNA/RNA technology, reflecting a specialization in biopharmaceutical and life sciences patent disputes.

Mr. Panzica primarily represents patent owners and operating companies on the defendant side in patent disputes. All five of his tracked appearances are as defense counsel, notably for Halozyme Inc., a biopharmaceutical company.

He has significant experience in Post-Grant Review (PGR) proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). His involvement includes serving as counsel for Halozyme Inc. in prominent PTAB cases such as Merck Sharp & Dohme LLC v. Halozyme Inc.
