He also led Blackhawk Network to a favorable jury verdict in a patent infringement suit and has achieved successful pre-trial dismissals for Bloomberg and leading technology companies in patent and trade secret disputes. His tracked case appearances include Haemonetics Corporation v. Fresenius Kabi USA, LLC et al. (plaintiff) and Terumo BCT Inc. v. Haemonetics Corp. (defendant), where he served as back-up counsel.

Drayton also possesses experience in PTAB proceedings, contributing articles and insights on topics like inter partes review (IPR). He earned his B.S. from the University of Maryland and his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1997, and was admitted to legal practice in 1998.
