Jordan L. Hirsch

Jordan L. Hirsch is a partner in the Intellectual Property Litigation Practice Group at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP, where his practice focuses on intellectual property and commercial litigation. He primarily represents defendants, including operating companies, in complex patent infringement cases across various federal district courts and before the International Trade Commission (ITC). His experience spans diverse technology areas, including microprocessor circuits, wireless communication standards such as Wi-Fi, cloud-based software, digital camera technology, medical devices, and farming equipment.

Mr. Hirsch has achieved significant outcomes for his clients. He served as lead counsel for Intel Corporation in Proxense, LLC v. Intel Corp., a case involving Wi-Fi patents that concluded with a voluntary dismissal with prejudice by the plaintiff. He also secured trial victories for Intel in patent infringement suits in the District of Delaware and the Western District of Texas, both involving multibillion-dollar damages claims, with juries finding no infringement. Further successes include achieving summary judgment of no damages in a patent infringement action and multiple summary judgments of non-infringement for clients in district courts in Delaware and California.

His practice includes experience with Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) proceedings, having appeared in inter partes review (IPR) cases such as IPR2019-01048 and IPR2017-01306, representing petitioners. Mr. Hirsch earned his JD cum laude from Harvard Law School in 2004 and a BA summa cum laude from Columbia University in 2001. He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and before the US Court of Appeals for the First and Second Circuits.
