Jin-Suk Park

Jin-Suk Park is a patent litigation attorney with Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP, where he is a partner and is involved with the firm's Korea practice. His practice focuses on representing clients in complex patent disputes within U.S. district courts and before the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC).

Mr. Park primarily defends operating companies against patent assertions. His experience includes representing leading electronics manufacturers in cases concerning data/communication features, semiconductor manufacturing processes, and user interface features, as well as mobile phone manufacturers in disputes related to communication standards, GPS systems, and paging. He also defends automobile manufacturers against patents concerning vehicle occupant protection and has experience with patents involving colored light-emitting diodes and transgenic corn.

Beyond district court litigation, Mr. Park is active in post-grant review proceedings before the United States Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). He advises clients on broader intellectual property strategy, patent portfolio valuation, licensing, and risk assessments, and assists in developing IP policies and practices.

Mr. Park holds a J.D. and an M.B.A. from Boston University (2001), and a B.A. in Biology from Johns Hopkins University (1996). He is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and New York, before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and in multiple U.S. District Courts, including the District of Maryland, the Eastern District of Michigan, and the Eastern District of Texas. He is also registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
