He also advises on emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, generative AI, blockchain, cryptocurrency, and next-generation computing devices. His experience includes representing clients in US district courts, the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the US International Trade Commission. In terms of client representation, Mr. Dennhardt works both sides of patent disputes, having appeared as lead counsel for a plaintiff and backup counsel for a defendant in tracked cases.

He has been notably involved in the ongoing patent litigation between Cytek Biosciences, Inc. and Beckman Coulter, Inc. in the District of Delaware. In the case Beckman Coulter, Inc. v. Cytek Biosciences, Inc., a motion to stay based on hypothetical future patent challenges was denied in July 2025. Furthermore, related Post-Grant Review (PGR) proceedings filed by Cytek against Beckman Coulter before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) have seen denials of institution in March 2026. Dennhardt also possesses significant experience with PTAB proceedings, including inter partes reviews, and has authored insights on the admissibility of IPR decisions in district court.

Mr. Dennhardt earned his J.D., cum laude, from Cornell Law School and holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is admitted to practice in New York.
