Grace Truong

Grace Truong is an associate in Goodwin Procter's Intellectual Property Litigation practice, where she is a key member of the firm's Life Sciences Disputes group. Her practice is primarily focused on pharmaceutical sciences, biotechnology, and medical devices, including litigation under the Hatch-Waxman Act and the Biologics Price Competition and Innovation Act (BPCIA). She also handles other district court patent litigation and unfair import investigations before the U.S. International Trade Commission.

Ms. Truong consistently represents defendants, particularly life science companies, in complex patent disputes. Her tracked appearances include defending Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Sandoz Inc. against Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc., aligning with her specialized focus on pharmaceutical patent litigation. She has also represented defendant MarkForged in a patent infringement lawsuit involving 3D printing technology.

Her experience extends to proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). She has been involved in specific IPR proceedings, such as Fusion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. v. Universität Heidelberg, and is a regular contributor to Goodwin's "PTAB Trial Tracker" blog. Before joining Goodwin, Ms. Truong gained experience as an IP Litigation summer associate at Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP.

Ms. Truong earned her J.D. from Harvard Law School and an M.P.H. from Harvard University T.H. Chan School of Public Health in 2019, following a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, summa cum laude, in 2015. She is admitted to practice in New York and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
