He is particularly active in post-grant proceedings, having made over two dozen arguments before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), and was recognized in 2021 by Managing IP for his frequent appearances in Inter Partes Reviews (IPRs) on behalf of patent owners. He also possesses experience in Section 337 investigations before the U.S. International Trade Commission.

Mr. Koide earned his Bachelor of Science in Structural Engineering from the University of California, San Diego, in 1990, and his Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center in 1997. He is a Registered Patent Attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and is a member of the District of Columbia Bar.
