Aubrey Haddach

Aubrey Haddach is an Executive Director of Intellectual Property at Halozyme, Inc., a biotechnology company specializing in subcutaneous drug delivery technology. Her patent litigation practice primarily focuses on the life sciences, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical sectors, drawing on a technical background in chemistry. In her role at Halozyme, Ms. Haddach represents an operating company, appearing on both the plaintiff (2 cases) and defendant (6 cases) sides of patent disputes, predominantly defending Halozyme's intellectual property and asserting its rights.

Her practice is heavily involved in high-stakes pharmaceutical patent litigation, notably in the ongoing disputes between Halozyme, Inc. and Merck Sharp & Dohme Corp. In this prominent matter, Halozyme has asserted infringement of its patents covering modified human hyaluronidase PH20 enzymes against Merck's subcutaneous Keytruda formulation, seeking damages and injunctive relief for alleged willful infringement. Ms. Haddach earned her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law and holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of California, San Diego. Prior to her in-house role, her career included positions at firms such as Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP, Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, Venable LLP, and Dinsmore & Shohl LLP, where she managed global patent portfolios for life science clients and advised on intellectual property matters.
