Anna E. Dwyer

Anna E. Dwyer is a patent trial lawyer and Partner at Blue Peak Law Group, specializing in complex patent litigation across a diverse range of technologies. Her practice encompasses Hatch-Waxman litigation, with a significant emphasis on chemical and pharmaceutical arts, including small molecule and biologic pharmaceuticals, methods of treatment, formulations, and polymorphs. Additionally, Ms. Dwyer handles matters involving medical devices, DNA sequencing, sonar, electrical engineering technology, and software/mobile technology related to data sharing and contact management systems.

Ms. Dwyer has extensive experience representing major operating companies in high-stakes patent disputes. While her tracked case, Unified Patents v. Ginko LLC, involved defending a patent owner against a challenge by Unified Patents, her representative matters demonstrate a balanced practice, having served as trial counsel for both plaintiffs and defendants in district courts, the International Trade Commission (ITC), and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB).

Her notable experience includes acting as IPR and PGR counsel for Patent Owner Plexxikon Inc. in Novartis Pharms., Corp. v. Plexxikon Inc. before the PTAB. She has also served as trial counsel for major pharmaceutical companies such as Sanofi and AbbVie/Allergan, and for technology and manufacturing companies like Pacific Biosciences, CareDx, Johnson Outdoors, and BASF in various patent and Lanham Act cases, including those with Federal Circuit appeals and ITC investigations.

Prior to joining Blue Peak Law Group, Ms. Dwyer was Counsel at Weil, Gotshal & Manges. She earned her J.D. from St. John's University School of Law in 2013 and a B.S. in Chemistry from Villanova University in 2009. Ms. Dwyer is admitted to practice in the State of New York and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
