Aaron B. Rabinowitz

Aaron B. Rabinowitz is a Partner at BakerHostetler and co-leader of the firm's IP Technology team, focusing his practice on patent litigation and the development, monetization, and enforcement of intellectual property portfolios. He handles a wide array of technologies, including orthopedic devices, medical diagnostic systems, conventional and alternative energy technologies, biotechnology, aerospace components, industrial chemicals, materials science, nanotechnology, and electronic devices. BakerHostetler's IP litigators manage cases involving patents, copyrights, trade secrets, trademarks, unfair competition, and anticounterfeiting for clients in diverse fields such as software, artificial intelligence, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, robotics, and communications.

Rabinowitz primarily represents plaintiffs, as indicated by his single tracked appearance on the plaintiff side. BakerHostetler as a firm is active in both enforcing and defending patent rights for clients. The firm has secured significant victories for plaintiffs, including a $97 million jury award and permanent injunction for Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy in a wind turbine patent infringement case against General Electric. They have also obtained walkaway dismissals for defendants in patent infringement proceedings.

He has experience with Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) proceedings, an area where BakerHostetler has a strong track record of success, including upholding patent claims in inter partes reviews (IPRs) and denying institution of IPR petitions.

Rabinowitz earned his undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from Yale University and has served as an adjunct professor of patent law at Temple University School of Law for over a decade. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania.
