RCN Telecom Services, LLC ("RCN") is a U.S. cable and broadband operator headquartered at 650 College Road East, Princeton, New Jersey. Commonly referenced as RCN, it dates to the early 1990s (sources cite founding years of 1993 and 1996) and is privately held. RCN is part of the Astound Broadband platform, which was acquired from TPG Capital and Patriot Media by Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners in 2021 for $8.1 billion; in 2026 Stonepeak and Alphabet announced an agreement to combine Astound with Alphabet's GFiber, with Stonepeak holding the majority stake.
