Hoymiles Power Electronics USA, Inc. is the U.S. subsidiary of Hangzhou Hoymiles Power Electronics Inc. (Chinese short name 禾迈股份; SSE STAR Market ticker 688032), a publicly listed Chinese solar equipment maker. The U.S. entity was established in Texas on February 28, 2023 as the parent's first overseas sales and technical-support hub, with offices at 3001 Technology Drive, Plano, TX. The parent was founded in 2012 and is headquartered in Hangzhou; stockanalysis.com lists roughly 1,925 employees, and the company reports 35%+ of staff in R&D. Parent FY2024 revenue was about RMB 1.99 billion with RMB 344 million net profit; FY2025 swung to a net loss of RMB 161 million amid a strategic transition.
Operations. Hoymiles designs and manufactures module-level power electronics and energy-storage products: microinverters (1-in-1 through 8-in-1), data transfer units and monitoring, rapid-shutdown devices and transmitters, string inverters, hybrid and AC-coupled storage inverters, residential and C&I/utility battery systems, batteries, and EV chargers, plus the S-Miles monitoring/design software. Litigation posture. Hoymiles is an operating company, not an assertion entity. Its single tracked case has it as defendant with zero plaintiff cases: CyboEnergy, Inc. v. Hoymiles Power Electronics USA, Inc., No. 2:23-cv-00311-JRG (E.D. Tex., Marshall Division, filed June 27, 2023). CyboEnergy asserted U.S. Patent Nos. 8,786,133 ("Smart and scalable power inverters") and 9,331,489 ("Maximizing power production at low sunlight by solar power mini-inverters"). Judge Rodney Gilstrap granted partial dismissal on March 20, 2024, dismissing direct-infringement claims on the '133 patent and pre-suit indirect and willful-infringement claims. Hoymiles filed IPR2024-01106 against the '489 patent on June 27, 2024; the parties settled and the Board terminated the proceeding on October 28, 2024.
Context. CyboEnergy, a CyboSoft-affiliated solar inverter company that Unified Patents describes as an NPE, has filed a series of similar suits against microinverter and storage vendors including Sensata, Altenergy Power System, Aptos Solar, Northern Electric Power, Duracell, Yotta Energy and Deye, several in Texas venues.
CyboEnergy sued Hoymiles Power Electronics USA asserting US 8,786,133 and US 9,331,489. On March 20, 2024, the court granted in part and denied in part Hoymiles' motion to dismiss, allowing the '489 indirect-infringement theories to survive; later status was not confirmed.
