Honda Manufacturing of Indiana, LLC

Honda Manufacturing of Indiana, LLC (HMIN) — commonly called the Indiana Auto Plant (IAP) — is Honda's Greensburg, Indiana assembly plant. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of American Honda Motor Co., Inc., which is in turn wholly owned by Honda Motor Co., Ltd. (Tokyo: 7267; NYSE ADR: HMC). The plant was announced in June 2006, broke ground in March 2007, and began mass production on October 9, 2008. It is not separately traded; ownership and financial reporting roll up to Honda Motor's consolidated results (FY2025 sales revenue of ¥21.7 trillion; ~195,000 employees globally).

Operations. HMIN operates a 2.5 million-square-foot plant on a 1,700-acre site with about $1.3 billion invested and capacity for roughly 250,000 vehicles annually. It employs approximately 2,600 associates — Decatur County's largest employer — and runs stamping, welding, painting, plastic injection molding, subassembly and final assembly. Current products are the Honda Civic Hatchback (and, from 2024–25, the Civic Hatchback Hybrid), the CR-V, the CR-V Hybrid, and the CR-V TrailSport. Earlier models built there include the Civic Sedan, Civic Natural Gas/GX, the Acura ILX, and the Insight Hybrid. Cumulative production passed 3 million vehicles in 2025.

Parker) against dozens of display, handset, computer and automotive defendants in E.D. Tex., and was characterized as an NPE in Acacia-related PTAB filings and Unified Patents data.
