Hisense International (Hong Kong) America Investment Co., Limited (also rendered as "Hisense HK"; formerly Hisense International America Holdings Co., Limited) is a Hong Kong-incorporated holding and trading company registered on 17 January 2011, with its registered office at Room 3101–05, Singga Commercial Centre, 148 Connaught Road West, Hong Kong. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Qingdao Hisense International America Holding Co., Ltd., itself part of the Qingdao-based Hisense Group. It is privately held and does not file separate public financials; Hisense Group's listed vehicles are Hisense Visual Technology (SSE: 600060) and Hisense Home Appliances (SZSE: 000921 / SEHK: 921). The parent group reports roughly RMB 215 billion in 2024 revenue and about 80,000 employees group-wide, but no verified headcount or revenue is published for this specific entity.
Operations. The company serves as Hisense's Americas investment and sales vehicle. It owns 100% of Hisense USA Corporation (Suwanee, Georgia) and acts as a brand licensee and distributor of consumer electronics — LCD televisions, refrigerators, washing machines, laser projectors and soundbars — with customs records showing appliance exports, primarily to Mexico. Under its 2015/2016 agreement with Sharp Corporation, it licensed the SHARP, AQUOS and Quattron brands for LCD TVs sold in the Americas and took over Sharp's Mexican television manufacturing operation (SEMEX) with Hisense affiliates.
Litigation posture. It is a pure defendant: 0 plaintiff cases versus 1 tracked defendant case. That pattern is consistent with an operating company being targeted, not a patent asserter.
Notable case. Flexiworld Technologies, Inc. v. Hisense Co., Ltd. et al., No. 2:22-cv-00225 (E.D. Tex., filed 24 June 2022, Judge Rodney Gilstrap), named this entity alongside roughly a dozen other Hisense affiliates. Plaintiffs filed in the Eastern District of Texas — a plaintiff-friendly venue — asserting 15 patents against Hisense smart TVs (Android TV, Google TV, Roku TV, X Class TV, Smart Laser TV), soundbars and the RemoteNow app. Flexiworld is identified as a non-practicing entity in Stanford's NPE Litigation Database. The Texas actions were transferred to the Northern District of Georgia in late 2022. Press reports also note a separate 2026 Maxell patent suit naming Hisense entities, which is not reflected in the tracked case list.
