Company profile

Overview. Guiyang Hisense Electronics Co., Ltd. (贵阳海信电子有限公司), commonly "Guiyang Hisense," is a Chinese television manufacturer based at No. 50 Kaifa Avenue, Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone, Guizhou Province. It was established in 1997, when Hisense Group acquired the Guiyang Huari television plant. It is a joint venture: 51% held by Hisense Visual Technology Co., Ltd. — the Shanghai-listed TV unit of Hisense Group (SSE: 600060) — and 49% by local state-owned Guiyang Industrial Investment Co., Ltd. Registered capital is about RMB 260 million. Chinese public sources put headcount near 481 employees, with 2024 output of 3.32 million TVs, revenue above RMB 6 billion and production value of roughly RMB 9.5 billion; the stated 2025 target is RMB 10 billion in production value.

Operations. It is Hisense's only TV production base in southwest China and one of Hisense Visual Technology's global TV manufacturing sites. It operates LCD module and complete-set assembly lines (about six lines, >17,000 TVs/day) producing 32- to 75-inch LCD and smart televisions sold across southwest, northwest, east and south China and exported to Japan and Southeast Asia. It also acts as "chain leader" for a local supplier cluster (back panels, housings, optical films, PCBA), with reported 83% local sourcing.

Litigation posture. An operating company, not an NPE. In the tracked data it appears solely as a defendant (0 cases as plaintiff, 1 as defendant) — consistent with a manufacturer targeted by a patent assertion campaign.

Notable case. The single tracked matter is Flexiworld Technologies, Inc. v. Hisense Co., Ltd. et al., filed June 24, 2022 in the Eastern District of Texas (Marshall Division, Judge Gilstrap) — a plaintiff-friendly venue — and later transferred to the Northern District of Georgia. Stanford's NPE Litigation Database and Unified Patents characterize Flexiworld as a non-practicing entity; the campaign asserted roughly 15 wireless-connectivity and content-streaming patents against Hisense smart TVs, soundbars and the RemoteNow app. Guiyang Hisense was named among numerous Hisense affiliates, several of which were later dropped.
