GPS Insight, Inc. — Scottsdale, Arizona. Founded 2004 (company materials cite 2004; some press releases say 2005), it is a privately held, PE-backed fleet-management software vendor. Since May 2021 it has been owned by Accel-KKR, which acquired the company and simultaneously merged it with two other portfolio companies, InSight Mobile Data and Rhino Fleet Tracking (Accel-KKR press release, May 19, 2021). It was previously backed by Bregal Sagemount. No public ticker. Third-party estimates put headcount in the roughly 180–260 range and revenue in the tens of millions of dollars ($37M–$65M); GPS Insight does not publish audited figures, so those numbers are unverified estimates.

Products / operations. GPS Insight sells SaaS fleet and field-service management software. Offerings include GPS vehicle, trailer and asset tracking; in-cab/dash smart cameras and video telematics; electronic logging device (ELD), hours-of-service and DVIR compliance; field service management (dispatch, work orders, invoicing) via its ServiceBridge and FieldAware units; and resold Geotab device data. It targets Class 3–6 commercial fleets, government, utilities, energy and field-service customers in the US and Canada, and has acquired ServiceBridge (2020), FieldAware and ClearPathGPS.

Litigation posture. A pure operating company defending against patent assertion. Our data shows 2 tracked cases, both as defendant, zero as plaintiff, both in the District of Arizona. Plaintiff in both is Fleet Connect Solutions LLC, a non-practicing entity that Unified Patents classifies as a patent assertion entity and that has sued numerous fleet-telematics vendors (PACCAR, CalAmp, Werner, Xirgo, IntelliShift, UAB Gurtam and others) across the Eastern/Western District of Texas, N.D. Texas and elsewhere, asserting an acquired portfolio of wireless-communications, navigation and fleet-management patents. Arizona is an atypical venue for Fleet Connect, which more often files in plaintiff-friendly Texas districts.

Notable cases. The tracked matters are dockets captioned Fleet Connect Solutions LLC v. GPS Insight Inc. (D. Ariz., No. 2:24-cv-02894-MTL, and a companion filing). USPTO records list the Arizona action as completed in May 2025. Notably, Fleet Connect's campaign prompted a Platform Science declaratory-judgment action alleging an "aggressive enforcement campaign" against fleet-technology customers, framing the broader context of these suits.
