Zacharias E. Shepard

Zacharias E. Shepard is an intellectual property attorney and Associate at Baker Botts, specializing in patent litigation across a range of complex technologies. His practice encompasses upstream oil & gas, energy tech, telecommunications, streaming, and biomedical industries. He leverages a strong technical background in mechanical engineering to represent clients in both federal district courts and at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.

Shepard primarily focuses on defending companies, as evidenced by his representation of DISH Technologies LLC in the tracked case, Aylo Freesites Ltd. v. DISH Technologies LLC. In this role, he has been involved in defending against claims related to adaptive bitrate streaming technology.
