William Adams

William Adams is a patent litigator and appellate attorney at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP, where he is a Partner and Co-Chair of the firm's National Appellate Practice. His practice primarily focuses on intellectual property disputes, with significant experience in the life sciences sector, particularly in pharmaceutical and biotechnology patent litigation, including biosimilar challenges. He also handles intellectual property appeals spanning various technologies.

Mr. Adams predominantly represents defendants, defending operating companies against patent infringement claims. His tracked appearances include serving as counsel and lead counsel for defendants Samsung Bioepis Co., Ltd. and Celltrion, Inc. in patent litigation initiated by Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
