Umber Aggarwal is Counsel at Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett, & Dunner, focusing his practice on patent litigation across a range of electrical engineering and software technologies. His technical expertise includes wireless technologies, telecommunications, financial software, wireless systems, and digital health software. Prior to joining Finnegan, Mr. Aggarwal served as a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), examining patents in television systems, pulse or digital communications, and signal processing.

Mr. Aggarwal's litigation experience is balanced, representing both plaintiffs and defendants. While his tracked appearance shows him representing Google LLC as a plaintiff in Google LLC v. Headwater Research LLC, his firm profile highlights significant defense-side work. He represented defendants MediaTek Inc. and MediaTek USA Inc. in a standard essential patent (SEP) suit related to WiFi semiconductors, which resulted in a successful settlement.
