Theodoros Konstantakopoulos

Dr. Theodoros Konstantakopoulos is a Partner in the Intellectual Property Litigation group at Goodwin Procter LLP, specializing in patent litigation across district courts, the International Trade Commission (ITC), and post-grant proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). With a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT, his practice focuses on complex technology areas including wireless communications and standards, network systems, computer software, internet-based applications, microprocessors, digital and analog integrated circuits, video coding technology, semiconductors, and medical devices. He also advises clients on patent prosecution, portfolio strategy, and conducts intellectual property due diligence.

While his tracked appearances include representing plaintiffs in cases such as Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. v. VB Assets, LLC and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, Ltd. v. Advanced Integrated Circuit Process LLC, as well as a defendant in ALBANY INTERNATIONAL CORP. v. VOITH PATENT GMBH, his broader practice demonstrates a significant emphasis on defending clients. He has a notable reputation for representing petitioners in PTAB proceedings, having been recognized by Patexia as a top-performing attorney for petitioners in 2019, 2020, and 2021. His experience includes representing leading microelectronics and consumer electronics manufacturers in patent litigations and numerous inter partes review (IPR) proceedings involving wireless technology, semiconductors, and integrated circuits. He is also a member of the PTAB Bar Association.

Dr. Konstantakopoulos joined Goodwin Procter as a partner in January 2025. Prior to this, he was of counsel at Desmarais, having previously served as counsel and a technology specialist at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale & Dorr, where he started in 2007.

He earned his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 2012, and holds a Ph.D. (2007) and M.S. (2002) in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as well as a Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Patras, Greece. He is a registered patent attorney.
