Scott F. Peachman

Scott F. Peachman is Of Counsel in the Litigation Department of Paul Hastings, based in the firm's New York office. His practice is concentrated on high-stakes patent litigation with a specific emphasis on the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and chemistry sectors. He has over a decade of experience representing innovator pharmaceutical companies in litigation, including Hatch-Waxman (ANDA) cases, and matters involving biologics, medical devices, diagnostics, and genomic sequencing.

Consistent with the tracked case list showing him on the plaintiff side, Peachman primarily represents innovator life sciences companies in enforcing their patent rights against generic drug manufacturers. His work for innovator clients has involved defending patent portfolios for well-known drugs such as Uloric®, Emend® IV, Gocovri®, Nuplazid®, and Venclexta®. One notable matter includes representing BioNTech in a patent suit concerning its Comirnaty® COVID-19 vaccine, which concluded with a dismissal with prejudice. The tracked case, Veloxis Pharmaceuticals AS v. Zydus Cadila et al., is a recent ANDA litigation concerning patents for Envarsus XR, a drug used to prevent organ rejection in kidney transplant patients.
