Saria Tseng

As Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary for Monolithic Power Systems, Inc. (MPS), Saria Tseng’s patent litigation work is focused on defending the company in high-stakes disputes within the semiconductor industry. Her role is exclusively in-house for the defendant, as reflected in her tracked appearances in litigation brought by Greenthread Ltd. Her practice involves managing and strategizing the defense of MPS's high-performance analog and mixed-signal semiconductor products.

Ms. Tseng has served as general counsel for MPS since 2004. In this capacity, she oversees the company's legal affairs, including its intellectual property litigation strategy. Before joining MPS, she was Vice President and General Counsel for MaXXan Systems, Inc., and previously worked as an attorney at the law firms Gray Cary Ware & Freidenrich LLP and Jones Day.

A notable recent case under her legal leadership is Greenthread Ltd v. Monolithic Power Systems Inc, a patent infringement suit filed in the District of Delaware concerning semiconductor devices with graded dopant regions. The defense strategy in this case has involved leveraging post-grant proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). In April 2024, the district court case was stayed pending the outcome of inter partes review (IPR) petitions filed by Monolithic Power Systems to challenge the validity of the asserted patents.

Ms. Tseng, also known as Hsin-Hsien Tseng, is an active member of the State Bar of California. She earned her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law. She is also a member of the New York State Bar Association.
