Ryan Edward Dornberger

Ryan Edward Dornberger is a patent litigation attorney with a focus on complex technology disputes. He handles a broad spectrum of technologies, including oil field equipment, semiconductors, medical devices, laboratory supplies, cell phones, wireless telecommunications, and motor vehicles. His practice involves both offensive and defensive strategies to protect clients' intellectual property investments.

Mr. Dornberger primarily represents operating companies, having appeared on the defendant side in all tracked cases. His experience includes defending against validity challenges and securing infringement verdicts for clients' intellectual property in U.S. district court. He also works to uphold permanent injunctions at the Federal Circuit.

Currently, Mr. Dornberger serves as Counsel at Troutman Pepper Hamilton Sanders, often referred to as Troutman Pepper Locke, and was previously with Locke Lord. His experience extends to post-grant proceedings, having defeated competitors' patents before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He earned his J.D., summa cum laude, from William Mitchell College of Law in 2014, and his B.S., summa cum laude, from Texas Tech University in 2011. He is admitted to practice in Minnesota and Texas.
