Rocco Magni

Rocco Magni is a Partner at Susman Godfrey L.L.P., specializing in intellectual property and technology litigation. His practice encompasses a range of high-tech areas, including video streaming and content delivery networks, AI-driven retail technology, payment systems, and automotive innovations such as advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and vehicle dynamics control. Magni also has experience with LTE and Wi-Fi patents asserted against telecommunications carriers.

Based on his tracked case appearances and firm-reported matters, Magni primarily represents plaintiffs in patent infringement disputes. He has been involved in five plaintiff-side cases and one defendant-side case from the provided list. Notably, he served as lead counsel for Alpha Modus, Corp. in its patent litigation against The Kroger Co. concerning AI-driven retail technology, which resulted in a confidential settlement. He also represented Personalized Media Communications, LLC in a six-patent streaming dispute against Netflix, Inc., which concluded with a stipulated dismissal of PMC's claims with prejudice. Magni earned his J.D., with High Honors, from The University of Texas School of Law in 2014, and holds a B.A., magna cum laude, in History from The University of Arizona. He is admitted to practice in Texas. Prior to joining Susman Godfrey, he clerked for the Honorable Edith H. Jones, former Chief Judge of the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
