Ragnar R. Olson

Ragnar R. Olson is a partner at Global IP Law Group, based in Chicago, where he focuses on patent monetization, including licensing, sales, and litigation. His practice encompasses a wide range of technology areas, drawing on a strong technical background. This includes chemistry, pharmaceutical compounds, and various IT fields such as wireless communications, computer networks, data mining, and network security. Before joining Global IP, Mr. Olson was a Director of Ocean Tomo's patent transactions group, where he oversaw over $100 million in patent transactions and reviewed thousands of patents across diverse technical fields.

In his tracked litigation appearances, Mr. Olson has exclusively represented plaintiffs, aligning with Global IP Law Group's emphasis on patent enforcement and monetization strategies. He has been lead counsel in cases such as Disintermediation Services, Inc. v. Living Spaces Furniture, LLC. Mr. Olson holds a B.S. in Chemistry with a minor in Economics from Indiana University, a J.D. with a certificate in Intellectual Property from Chicago-Kent College of Law, and an M.S. in Information Technology from Northwestern University.
