Peter J. McAndrews

Peter J. McAndrews is a highly experienced intellectual property litigator and shareholder at McAndrews, Held & Malloy. His practice spans a broad range of electrical, biomedical, and mechanical technologies, with a particular focus on wireless and wireline communications, including cellular, DSL, fiber optics, and Wi-Fi, as well as computer engineering, software, and digital television systems. McAndrews primarily represents plaintiffs in patent infringement actions, as evidenced by his 9 plaintiff-side appearances compared to 2 defendant-side appearances in tracked cases, often serving as lead counsel for patent assertion entities such as General Video LLC and Intellectual Ventures I LLC.

Among his notable engagements, McAndrews was Of Counsel for Intellectual Ventures I LLC in Intellectual Ventures I LLC v. Symantec Corp. et al., a significant case initially resulting in a $17 million jury award for Intellectual Ventures for patent infringement related to security software technologies.
