Peter J. Gluck

Peter J. Gluck is an intellectual property attorney with a focus on patent litigation and portfolio management, currently practicing at Patnstr, APC. His practice areas have included medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and software, alongside broader patent procurement and counseling.

In his litigation practice, Mr. Gluck has represented plaintiffs, as demonstrated by his lead counsel role for HydraFacial LLC. In HydraFacial LLC v. Luvo Medical Technologies, he secured a consent judgment and permanent injunction against Luvo Medical Technologies and other defendants over six hydrodermabrasion patents, effectively barring the sale or import of infringing products through March 2026. Beyond district court litigation, he also handles appeals to the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) and patent post-issuance proceedings.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Gluck was a partner in the intellectual property groups at Brown Rudnick LLP and Luce, Forward, Hamilton & Scripps LLP. He also brings significant in-house experience, having served as chief IP counsel, corporate secretary, and assistant general counsel at what is now Abbott Medical Optics Inc., and as senior corporate patent counsel at Baxter International/Edwards Life Sciences. In these in-house capacities, he was instrumental in developing patent portfolios that led to substantial acquisitions, including one acquired by Medtronic for $37.5 million and another stent portfolio sold for $140 million to Bard.

Mr. Gluck was admitted to the State Bar of California on May 30, 2007. Before attending law school, he worked as an engineer for IBM Corp., designing integrated circuits and circuit boards for personal computers.
