Noreen Krall

Noreen Krall is an intellectual property attorney and former in-house litigation chief with deep experience in the computer hardware and software sectors. Her practice has been focused on managing global patent, commercial, and intellectual property litigation for major technology corporations. With a background in electrical engineering and computer science, she specializes in complex, multi-jurisdictional technology disputes.

Throughout her career, Ms. Krall has served exclusively in-house for large operating companies. She was Vice President and Chief Litigation Counsel for Apple Inc., where she was responsible for all facets of the company's global litigation. In this role, she managed a docket of over one thousand active matters and was a key figure in the precedent-setting "smartphone wars" involving high-stakes patent disputes. Before her tenure at Apple, she was Vice President and Chief IP Counsel for Sun Microsystems and began her career as an engineer and later counsel at IBM, supporting its server, storage, and services divisions.

As head of Apple's litigation department, Ms. Krall directed the company's strategy in its worldwide disputes, including the tracked case Apple Inc. v. Topwire LLC. Her leadership in managing complex technology litigation has been widely recognized in the legal industry. Public records from the State Bar of California indicate that as of August 2025, her license was placed on probation, and her current status is listed as suspended and not eligible to practice law in California.

Ms. Krall earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Manhattan College, an M.S. in Computer Science from Iona College, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Denver.
