Matthew Sarboraria

Matthew Sarboraria is a highly experienced intellectual property attorney currently serving as Senior Vice President and Associate General Counsel at Oracle Corporation, where he leads the company's global IP practice. His practice encompasses a broad range of IP issues, including patent prosecution and portfolio management, IP licensing, and litigation, alongside copyright, trademark, and brand management. He has handled cases involving diverse technologies such as software, semiconductors, consumer electronics, computer networking, and telecommunications equipment, aligning with Oracle's core business in enterprise technology.

Sarboraria primarily operates on the defendant side, consistent with his in-house role defending Oracle's intellectual property. His tracked appearance, Virtamove Corp. v. Oracle Corp., reflects this defendant-side representation. Before joining Oracle in 2006, he was in private practice at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, where his focus was also on patent litigation.
