Vizgen, Inc., a high-profile patent infringement and antitrust counterclaim case concerning gene-analysis technology, which settled during trial in February 2025 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware. His notable litigation experience also includes successfully defending Everlight Electronics against Nichia Corp. in an LED patent dispute, representing Merck in an ANDA litigation resulting in a finding of infringement against Xellia Pharmaceuticals, and securing favorable outcomes for Motorola in ITC actions against Apple and Microsoft. He also represented Time Warner Cable in patent infringement actions by TiVo, which settled favorably.

Mr. Traupman also has experience in Post-Grant Review proceedings, having appeared as counsel for petitioners in inter partes review (IPR) cases such as QIAGEN Sciences, LLC v. Tecan Genomics, Inc. (IPR2025-00028) and Samsung Bioepis Co., Ltd. v. [Patent Owner] (IPR2023-00442). He earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2002 and an A.B., cum laude, in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology and Government from Dartmouth College in 1999. He is admitted to practice in New York and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal and Second Circuits, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and is registered to practice before the USPTO.
