Mary Pheng

Mary Pheng is a patent litigation attorney with a practice focused on technology and intellectual property disputes across various forums, including U.S. district courts, appellate courts, the U.S. International Trade Commission, and arbitration tribunals. Her technical experience spans a broad range, including face and voice recognition, machine learning, data encryption, software, semiconductors, smartphone applications, medical devices, and pharmaceuticals. Ms. Pheng primarily represents clients on the defense side, including patent owners, consistent with her tracked appearance as a pro hac vice attorney for a defendant in one case and her representation of a patent owner in a significant inter partes review.

Ms. Pheng is currently an attorney at WilmerHale. Prior to joining WilmerHale, she was an associate at a national law firm. While her tracked appearances include one instance as a pro hac vice attorney for a defendant with Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath in an untitled case, her recent work includes representing Merck Serono SA as Patent Owner in the inter partes review IPR2023-00049.
