Mark D. Rowland

Mark D. Rowland is a seasoned patent litigation attorney and a partner at Ropes & Gray, based in Palo Alto, California. His practice primarily focuses on intellectual property disputes, including patent infringement, trade secret, copyright, and trademark actions, as well as ITC proceedings. He has extensive experience in technologies such as integrated circuits, semiconductor processing, and computer-related innovations, which is evident in his representation of clients in complex software, networking, and digital rights management cases.

Mr. Rowland typically represents operating companies, often on the defendant side in district court litigation or as a petitioner challenging patents in post-grant review proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB).
